Inside the Book of Ra Deluxe demo

What you see when the Deluxe demo loads#
The game arrives from Novomatic’s online studio after the provider’s age window, where you confirm that you are 18 or older. Then the reels of Book of Ra Deluxe fill the frame: five reels, 10 paylines and a balance of fun credits to spend however you like.
The controls sit along the bottom of the screen. START spins the reels once, AUTO runs spins for you, MAX BET jumps straight to the highest stake, and MENU opens the paytable and the game information. Reading a win on the Deluxe screen#
A win in the demo is easy to follow once you know where to look. The winning line lights up across the reels, the symbols that form it are highlighted, and the win field below the reels shows what that line paid at your current bet. Bigger hits get a celebration screen before the credits are added.
Lines that the Book completes are worth a second look. The Book stands in for the missing symbol, so a line of two Queens and a Book pays as three Queens. Three or more Books scattered anywhere pay on their own as well, on top of the line wins of the same spin, and that is also the moment the Free Games begin. Watching a few of these spins in the demo makes the paytable in MENU much easier to read.
Getting the most from free spins#
Fun credits remove the pressure, which makes the demo the right place to test how the game reacts to your choices. Play a stretch with all 10 lines active, then try fewer. Change the line bet and open MENU again to watch the payouts scale with it. The Book is the symbol to follow: it completes lines as a wild, and three or more of them anywhere on the reels start the bonus round.
When the Free Games arrive, watch the expanding symbol closely. It is chosen at random before the round, and every time it lands it stretches over its whole reel and pays across the lines. That moment explains why Book of Ra sessions feel quiet for long stretches and then change in a single round.
